(Series X)
So I was playing re8 but was extremely tired from work so I took a nap and asked my bf to wake me up in an hour or so but I didn’t wake to any off his calls. When I woke up I turned my monitor back on (which had gone into standby mode) and the signal had some type of loose connection.
I felt the hdmi cable and it was really warm and so was the wall behind but I unplugged it and moved my Xbox forward a bit to breath.

It’s cool now but there’s red light through the back of it and I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be there or it’s something inside overheating.

    Thank you.

Wait I think it’s fine actually because I tired it off and the light went off, so if it was something overheating it would stay red untill it’s cool right? But I do wanan double check thanks

    2. That’s a One X not a Series X.

But I’d never seen those lights in the few years I owned one.

If your Xbox is overheating a message will pop up telling you so.

I would keep it forward as much as possible though with the exhaust fan being at the back you don’t want it right up against a wall.

It’s an One X. But the thing is you need to place this xbox the way that nothing is blocking his vents. Everything is good with the back and the left side on this picture. But you have your power supply (or what is it?) on the right side. Don’t do that, move it away and you will be perfectly fine!

I have a One X in my living room, the red lights are on mine too. Believe it’s the optical
