Pic for attention obviously, but I've done every side quest and I'm at the point of no return, and I really wanted to find all the cans and get all the fish but I find the menial tasks exhausting me, and I've finally made the decision to move forward and just complete the game.
It's funny when Adam asks you "Are you sure you're ready to leave? No regrets?" He was talking the the players just as much as he was Eve. I've finally decided to move forward and I can complete everything in New game + but the magic of the game was quickly starting to fade due to just being exhausted from the tediousness of fishing and searching (I know I can look up a guide in the cans, but I like to find as much as I can naturally before I resort to that, because it's not even playing a game, its executing a given task)
Does anyone else struggle with this in games? I want platinum for this game really badly, it's not a HUGE game like FF7 (which I'm even struggling to start in hard mode) but it's like this with every game I've played. Platinum don't mean much to me, but I think it shows how much you appreciate the game, I want to feel like I've experienced it to it's fullest but some of these experiences are just not fun to me.

    1. You’ve answered your own question at the end there. If it’s not fun and it doesn’t make you happy, just don’t do it. I very rarely 100% games myself because I don’t care about finding all 900 pinecones (straight fire reference right there). You’re not a lesser fan if you don’t read every single collectible note. If you enjoy the main story, play it and read the notes later, or don’t.

    2. I have that alot with games who tend to be longer and longer. I like it because you get more for your money, but at the same time it is stressfull to know that I finish a game with not everything done. Feels incomplete to me. Worst part is when you have to collect stuff again after playing through the game. However that really is a me thing I need to work on since I rarely finish games now because of that mindset
