For context, I've had this controller for like, a year or so, and I can't afford a new one right now. The right stick started drifting badly, and the left stick seems to be starting to drift too. I took some rubber bands and made this abomination, and the drift has almost entirely stopped. I still don't get why Hall Effect joysticks aren't the standard.

There is a bunch of resistance (obviously) from the bands now, but I just need to mess with some settings in my games to fix it.
