I still stand by the opinion she should have been alive, but heavily injured (maybe missing a leg or two) while trapped in a small cave with the thought of her sister being the only thing keeping her going.
Would have been a nice hopefully part to the game where all the other side quests involving people (except Enya and Arin) are just super depressing.
