I am not sure if there was a need to confirm it, as all first party games being day one game pass is something they already promise. I guess it is to address the rumors or some such.

It doesn’t seem to me that there will be a ‘COD Tier’ of new Game Pass pricing to go alongside this news, like has been suggested by many in the last few weeks. If there were then it would probably have been announced in this article, or at least alluded to.
If so, this is a huge story for XBOX. Maybe MS figures show that the PS and PC sales will support the loss of XBOX physical game revenue more than people have been suggesting.
Time will tell… but the lack of any ‘change in pricing news’ today, keeps me hopeful that there will be none to come.

The question never was ***IF*** would be a day release. It’s always been what TIER of GamePass would get it one day one.
I highly suspect we’ll eventually get a new “premium” tier of GamePass for DayOne releases. The question is will they drop it this year before Black Ops 6 or will they wait another year.

Personally, I’m more interested in them adding older COD games to the service though.
