I took his hand because it seemed like the canon choice (*Adam and Eve shunning their creator to lead a new Humanity y’know?*)
Was relieved that Eve kept her memories/personality intact.

I would have taken the hand first, but for effectiveness and wanting the new homescreen look after the first playthrough and to also get the boss challenge outfit to wear on the second playthrough I did:
1. No hand -> winning without dying, waiting for Credits, choosing continue and then taking the hand to get two endings and activation of all bosses in 1st playthrough
2. Taking hand in a rushed playthrough with cloud save after Abyss Levoire to platinum and now taking my time with all side quests after reloading to before Eidos 9/Spire 4 to finish my “real” 2nd playthrough at my leisure to gather more outfits and explore.

Everything in my gut was telling me to reject him just because I was so sure that there was no way the “good ending” would be the one where we don’t have a final boss fight against the Elder, but I straight up couldn’t think of any downsides to taking his hand. Ended up accepting his offer then getting the true ending because I had done the Eidos 9 segment, and was extremely satisfied with the conclusion.
