Did I fix this right? I heard I could tape it down if this happened, but I feel like if I try to turn it on like this it’ll brick my 3ds. It’s a New 3DS LL, I just got it today so I’m really hoping I didn’t break it trying to swap the housing.

These connectors don’t have a latch and you’re not supposed to open them like the digitizer connector. Right now you should either replace the connector or you can solder the cable on the motherboard. That tape won’t do the job & right now the 3DS won’t even boot up.
You need to be careful when opening those ZIF latches, as they’re delicate.
