Holy fucking shit. I mean, I knew Playground Games had the sauce, but I didn’t know they owned the entire sauce company. What a showing. I’m frothing at the mouth to get back to Albion after all this time…. My oh my what a year this is going to be.

The game looked very impressive both content wise and performance wise, I think the as hoping that would mean it would come relatively soon. This autumn isn’t the longest wait though, maybe I’m just too excited to play it!

Im happy the game will be actually good from what they shown… extremely good? Maybe not… who know.

    4. I know it’s probably just me, but I feel like since Fable is leaning more into realism with its art direction, it’s lost some of its charm. Still excited, just something I noticed.

I had 0 interest in this game. Now It’s keeping me from selling my series X. What a showing!

Glad I can let Richard live.

    7. Looks like the reason Fable got delayed and FH6 isnt on PS5 day 1 is because Playground Games had to focus all their resources on putting Fable on PS5 day 1

    8. I feel like this had to have put most of the doubters to rest. They addressed basically every issue people had with the game’s earlier presentations imo. The look and feel is spot on imo. Character creation exists as predicted. The world sim is back and better than ever. Old enemies and locations have returned. The humor is certain there form the look of things. I frankly couldn’t be more impressed with a reboot of such a franchise.

Looks like a generic fantasy game.

Where’s the character and charm from the original trilogy

    10. This was an incredible showing of the game. It definitely left a great impression on me. I can’t wait for this

Finally Fable how I imagined it it would be FUCNING FINALLY A GAME LIKE I IMAGINE WHEN I WAS A KID ! GIVE IT TO ME NOOWWWWW

    12. Graphics are subpar.

Animations and lip sync are stiff.

      Action seems flat.

      Tone seems on-brand.

      World sim is versatile.

Game needs polish, and lots of it.

If I had to bet, I’d say they chose the wrong engine to make this game, but, that’s what their team is familiar with.

    13. I had high hopes because Playground have done such amazing work on the Horizon series, but was still trying to keep my expectations tempered because this isn’t their wheelhouse, but my god. It looks amazing. This can’t come out soon enough.

    14. Looked good. Let’s see if 6 years good. Having deeper interaction systems than Fable III is already a step in the correct direction.

It look’s promising, but also need a lot of polish in my opinion. The animations looked very stiff.

    16. I’m not sure about this:

‘ The other cool thing about The Office is something we’ve kind of nicked. You’ve maybe seen in our trailers that we have a sort of mockumentary interview style. I think a lot of people assume we just did that for those trailers, but it’s actually a device we use throughout the game.
I’ve never seen it in games before, but it allows you a way to really neatly tell a joke or drop a little bit of character detail in a way that would feel really clunky in a dialogue, but suddenly feels entirely natural when you do it to ‘camera’.’

Could take away a lot of the drama from the story if they’re breaking the fourth wall constantly…

I know it’s not a serious game but there are parts of the original trilogy that was quite mysterious/poignant.

Also seems the good/evil aesthetic you get won’t be in this game but I’m assuming you can still make ‘evil’ choices, hopefully that’s something they cover later this year.

Autumn is a bold release date, but I didn’t notice the game was a little framey in parts with some stiff animations so I’m imagining they need the extra time.

Everything else looked great though, and I especially love that you can buy every building and business again. Brilliant.

    17. Hell yeah it looks amazing. Made me feel enthusiastic about gaming again. (Going through a gaming drought at the moment due to life commitments).

I will get downvoted but there were some framerate issues for example when he kicks the chicken and riding the horse. I hope it will be 60fps.

    19. It’s been almost a decade since the game’s existence was leaked, and it seems to be worth the wait if today was any indication

    20. So having never played Fable before, is this a sequel or a remake or a reboot or what? I’m lost, but it looks great!

    21. My only negative besides the release date is that it’s unclear if we will get the classic horns or halo based on our actions.
