    -bottom screen a bit loose

    1. 3DSes usually go for ~400$ CAD while DSIs go for 70$ if your considering price.

The 3DS can run any DSi & DS software, and the mic is easy enough to replace if you really need it, they are like 7$ CAD

If the bottom screen is loose, i guess you could like tighten the screws or smth, depending on what you are referencing loose as. If you want the mic & bottom screen fixed, i’d probably attempt that, and it you somehow catastrophically screw it up, you have the DSi to fall back on.

okay i wanna be clear, before u downvote this post again for sum reason. I need to choose 1 because i need a quick buck. i really cant keep both and dont understand the mass downvoting.

    3. I have both and have been glued to my DSi lately, beautiful screens, integer scaling, more comfortable dpad, fucking goated library, much better screen for GBA emulation, plus it’s cheaper to replace if something happens to it.

If your selling one you’d need to consider that the 3ds is damaged and can’t be sold for expected “full price”, the damage is minor but a mic replacement would require soldering (actually might be cables idr) which will might deter some people. Many game stores will also refuse to accept damaged consoles so it’d most likely have to be sold online.

The 3ds also has all the functionality of the dsi in terms of playing games. So as long as it isn’t too badly damaged it’d be better to keep that one as it’d give you access to the most content.

The dsi should be more sellable provided the shell is in good condition. It’s in less demand than the 3ds though.

You could potentially get a little bit more for it by selling the dsi modded with a small sd card (trusted 8-32gb cards are really cheap) that the buyer can copy to a larger one if they want later. The dsi is pretty easy to mod imo but there is still a market for premodded devices from people who are less tech savvy.

The dsi is also probably an easier one to rebuy later if you wanted to, as I find them on fb marketplace on occasion for lower prices than on eBay.

    5. Keep the 3ds, you have a bigger library and you can play all dsi games…

Better yet, get a flashcard for your 3ds and install twilight menu onto it, you’ll have a graphical interface mimicking your dsi… You could also just install twilight menu ++ directly, but personally, i prefer the flashcard

    6. Sell the N3DSXL because it’s worth more and sell the DSi as well. Buy a 3DS with the money you made and you’ll still have leftover cash.

I say try to fix the issues you have with the N3ds XL first. (Unless you just don’t care enough about it to fix them.)

If you can successfully fix them, then keep the N3ds. If not, then you can decide whether or not it’s worth it to you to get rid of it and keep the fully functioning DSI.

But considering the 3ds is capable of playing all DS games and the 3ds library, it’s kind of a no brainer which one to keep unless it’s really broken beyond repair.
Unless you are just a super fan of original DS games and don’t care about the 3ds library, in which case the DSI is going to be the better experience for those games specifically.

    8. Keep both you wil regret selling, but if you really need the money for like food or rent, I’d sell the 3ds, often find myself playing ds games more then 3ds games idk for you but dsixl ist the best for ds games

3ds is just dsi but better. You could potentially fix the broken parts of the 3ds.

    10. Spend a little bit of time working for Uber or something. You’ll quickly make whatever you’ll get from selling your DS. Keep those valuable systems or you’ll be spending more later to get them back

    11. 3ds can play ds games, but ds can’t play 3ds. It is obvious and clear answer, but I guess you are in need of more money and you want to hear from people to sell the 3ds and keep the ds 😄 it is your stuff, do whatever it suits you. Needs over anything.
