Long story short, my New 3DS XL's top screen only worked when it was pushed all the way back. Today, I opened it up to see that the ribbon cable was creased. Does there happen to be a way to fix it or will I need a new screen?

How did this happen?
And maybe? A fold like that will very likely damage the traces on a ribbon cable.
