I was thinking of buying these in the picture. I have some older Astro A10s, but I don't think they're compatible with the console. It doesn't even recognize them by name, and my voice sounds bad on the console, but I sound fine on the Xbox. A friend recommended these. What do you think?

This is a razer so they will break in a year or less
I bought a mid range razor headset like 5 years ago, maybe even more, and i still use it. If you’re not one of those people that are crazy about audio and understand the little nuances of sound quality, don’t overthink it.
My only advice, especiallt if you’re playing multiplayer games is to get a headset with hardware mute, your team will appreciate it.
Value for money I’d say Hyper X Cloud III S, Fractal Scape (has a dock), Asus ROG Pelta.
