TDLR: I need help decorating a wall in my room for a stream background!

Hello, I've started building out my room for a streaming setup. The front end looks very cluttered, but it is clothing storage and a desk for my computer, as you can see. My biggest point of contention is the giant white wall behind me. In trying to decorate the wall with stuff that doesn't feel over the top, but could still be visually appealing.

I'm studying graphic design/video media, so art and cool pieces of that nature would be a great addition to the wall. I recently had a portrait shoot and was thinking of getting a poster framed and hung, but I'm not sure how to execute the wall design.

I'm looking for a mix of posters and other decor that can be on the wall or stand in front of it. All opinions appreciated! Please be respectful lol.

    1. Pick your favourite poster, sure that’s good, but you should also add some RGB, seriously, a bit of colour in the background is good, and having coloured light can help make it pop, and if you dim the lights, let the background RGB illuminate your back, while you have something like a ring light (or the glow of your screen) illuminate your face, it’ll help make your set look a lot better.

Build waist hight storage cupboards along the wall behind you, for items you need but don’t want on display. It will be approx the same depth as the distance from the door to the wall.

This will also create additional bench and work space for hobbies, display pieces and other miscellaneous items you frequently use that cluttera up your main desk area. It will most likely also be out of the camera angle.

Then build displace shelfs above with a depth of 1 half to 1 third of the distance of the bench below. These should be 900mm – 1200mm above the bench.

Decorate with display pieces, plants and soft lighting.
