    1. I’m gonna be honest, this is cool this is here, but I am never going to touch this. With all these news drops they are doing it is pretty clear a Direct is happening soon.

      Thank goodness they have screen color changes planned, but still odd it’s not there at launch.

      Personally, I think I’ll stick with that fan-made VB emulator on Nintendo 3DS since it’s a lower barrier to entry, and I still have a working 3DS to experience the visuals with.

    3. For the three people in the back.
      Now I’m kidding but it is pretty cool to have that also on Switch 1 and 2.

    4. Launch titles:

      * Galactic Pinball
      * 3-D Tetris
      * Teleroboxer
      * Virtual Boy Wario Land
      * The Mansion of Innsmouth
      * Golf
      * Red Alarm

      Will also have Rewind, change controls features

      Coming later in 2026:

      * Mario Clash
      * Mario’s Tennis
      * Jack Bros.
      * Space Invaders Virtual Collection
      * Virtual Bowling
      * Vertical Force
      * V-Tetris
      * Zero Racers (previously unreleased)
      * D-Hopper (previously unreleased)

    5. I’m don’t think I’ll be touching this tbh… I don’t see myself buying the Virtual Boy Stand to play it and no virtual boy game really interests me at all.

      It’s cool that it’s there but it’s very niche. I have the 3DS emulator of VB games anyways if I’m ever curious about the games but not really. Just have it on my 3DS for if I’m ever curious I guess

    6. Genuine question, are there any VB games worth playing in the big 2026? I was far too young to be around for this era

      Idk it’s so gimmicky, more than usual for Nintendo. I don’t know if I see it taking off

    8. The unreleased games look great! Having played the entire catalog so far on the 3DS, I have to say the comfort level will be objectively worse. But I like the novelty of having a virtual boy.

    9. I’m the exact kind of idiot who might buy this despite myself but now I have to make a calculation:

      Does this thing sell so poorly they end up putting it on heavy discount six months to a year from now allowing me to grab one cheap

      Or does thing sell so poorly that they sell the initial batch of pre-orders, never make any more and it ends up costing a ludicrous amount second hand that I’ll never be willing to pay?

      …I still regret not buying more Donkey Konga bongo drums when they were on sale dirt cheap back in the day

      There’s definitely some games I’d be interested to try, but I’m not doing the whole VR glasses thing for these games so unless there’s a 2D way to play these on a TV, I won’t be playing it.

    11. The two unreleased games are really interesting! Unlike Star Fox 2, no known prototypes have been found, so this will be the first time these games have ever been playable outside closed doors.

    12. They really gotta make it so you can play these in 2D without buying an attachment. Virtual Boy just isn’t worth going out of your way to buy an accessory to play.

    13. UltimateChungus on

      Honestly I don’t mind this to much considering that two pieces of, previously, lost media will be able to see the light of day

    14. It’s cool for whoever likes it, but the fact we’ll get releases for this instead of other consoles/handhelds is going to suck when we never got DK Racing and some others. But I guess, Nintendo. I guess.

    15. OfficialShaki123 on

      So, for Virtual Boy they can remove the ugly borders with text overlay and profile icon, but they can’t for all the other NSO systems?

      What a F joke Nintendo. Not gonna pay for this consumer unfriendly mess.
