I’m seeing that the only solution is to homebrew which I’ve never done much less heard of. Does anyone have a link to a helpful guide? Otherwise I guess I’m going to have to return this if I even can 😞 I’m super sad because it’s an excellent condition…

What region is the cart you are using?
It’ll only be able to read Japanese carts without modding the console, unfortunately… If you want to mod/homebrew it, I would give 3ds.hacks.guide a look, it’s the best and most up-to-date modding resource out there, and it has troubleshooting guides if you need help along the way
It’s region locked. One time i switched a European one for US one and the seller asked me for 30$ even tho the European worth more. Better just mod it , there’s probably a guide attached here
Mod it. Do region unlock.

The 3DS is unfortunately region locked meaning it can only read Japanese games unless u mod it
