    1. >Tales of ARISE – Beyond the Dawn Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on May 22, 2026!

      >In Tales of ARISE, players will follow the adventures of Alphen and Shionne as they join forces to free the planet Dahna from 300 years of oppression under Rena. Explore vast regions, battle powerful enemies in fast-paced action combat, and uncover the truth that binds their worlds together. Beyond the Dawn continues the adventures of Alphen and Shionne with a new story set after the main game, introducing additional characters and new fields to explore.

    2. One of my favorite tales of games.

Great modern art, interesting characters and team dynamics, and mostly compelling story (until the ending chapters).

How about they dawn these nuts and give me an official Tale of Phantasia port/translation/remaster??

    4. Played it on PS5, can’t say I liked it too much.

I hope Namco refines the controls for the next game. I always liked Tales games of old for their relatively straightforward controls, but Arise was such a disaster that I was remapping controls for hours until landing on one that was semi-comfortable.

Bad decision to move away from directional inputs for special attacks. 5 dedicated buttons for that is not the way (on top of also doing basic attacks, jumping, and dodge rolling).

    5. Played the original when it came out back on PS5, never tried the expansion stuff. Maybe I’ll pick up again, it’s a fun game with great combat mechanics, but I remember having a bit too much dialogue.

    6. I personally loved this game, even thought the everything after the last kingdom was a letdown.

I’ve only played two Tales games (Berseria and Arise), and Arise just felt like it was a low-budget bootleg Xeno game. Berseria was good though.
