One of my favorite tales of games.
Great modern art, interesting characters and team dynamics, and mostly compelling story (until the ending chapters).

Loved Arise but I’m so ready for a new Tales game

How about they dawn these nuts and give me an official Tale of Phantasia port/translation/remaster??

Great game, but that second half was… a lot.

Played it on PS5, can’t say I liked it too much.
I hope Namco refines the controls for the next game. I always liked Tales games of old for their relatively straightforward controls, but Arise was such a disaster that I was remapping controls for hours until landing on one that was semi-comfortable.
Bad decision to move away from directional inputs for special attacks. 5 dedicated buttons for that is not the way (on top of also doing basic attacks, jumping, and dodge rolling).

Played the original when it came out back on PS5, never tried the expansion stuff. Maybe I’ll pick up again, it’s a fun game with great combat mechanics, but I remember having a bit too much dialogue.

I was quick scrolling and thought
“Wtf is tales of arse?”

I personally loved this game, even thought the everything after the last kingdom was a letdown.

Fun in the beginning, but it really drags on for too long

Any new content?

I’ve only played two Tales games (Berseria and Arise), and Arise just felt like it was a low-budget bootleg Xeno game. Berseria was good though.
