I sent in my N2DS XL to nintendo almost a week and a half ago to see if it would be serviced and everything was looking promising but when they finally recieved it, they spent about 20 minutes on the repair and shipped it back, I didnt get any charge on my card, am I cooked? how did they find out it was modded when I wiped everything off?

Not an expert, but from what I’ve heard the top screen ribbon cable is a culprit for a pop and power down scenario. I’m not sure if yours falls under it, but it would be worth a shot reseating the cable.

    2. They know your address and your phone number, it’s only a matter of hours before the police shows up at your door.

My advice is to move to another country, preferably to one with lenient extradition laws.

I’m not even sure what you think you’re “cooked” about?

They are free to decline repairs as stated in their TOS.

As they stated, they evaluated your repair and they opted to not repair it, and sent it back free of charge so you are no worse off than you were before.
