Just a video of my thoughts on the old 3D Zeldas since that genre is pretty definitively dead at this point. Show it some love and continue the discussion here or on YT! Thanks for watching!

    2. I’ll forever be upset Grezzo never got a chance to make a fully original 3d game with their Oot engine like they did with Echoes Of Wisdom and the Links Awakening engine…

    3. I think people forget that despite BOTW and TOTK being the way they are, there’s still so many ways that an open world Zelda game could be done. I still believe you can have an open world Zelda game that still manages to have a lot of the older style aspects that the older games have. Zelda being “open world” going forward is such a broad statement.

Also yeah, people need to get over it because regardless of what they I’m sure they’ll still be incredible. Let series grow and flourish, I feel like a lot of the people who complain about this are the same people who won’t step out of their comfort zone and play a more “niche” series like Xenoblade or Fire Emblem that could heavily benefit from the support but, I digress.

One last silver lining about this is that, this might also mean that we get a more steady pace of top down Zelda games. If these open world Zelda’s take longer to develop, which, we obviously know that they do, then Nintendo might be incentivized to have Grezzo or whoever else develop 2D Zelda games at a more consistent pace to help fill in the gaps before releases. It’s going to be okay everyone.

    4. Oh my god, so dramatic. And completely untrue. Fans make a new, high quality 3D Zelda game pretty much every year now. Play The Sealed Palace, it came out the same year as TotK and complements it nicely. People complaining need to play these games as they are exactly what they are looking for and come out regularly enough that you don’t ever have to feel like there isn’t another quality 3D Zelda game on the horizon.

    5. I do believe they will do some remakes in the future.

Still, I feel you, I am not fully onboard with these open world + 100 shrines…. I really miss proper dungeons, all of them so far felt small and without any challenge.

Plus not getting gear, which affects gameplay makes the game a little, boring after awhile.

I hope, like some have said, for us to have some zelda games outside of the open world to fill the gap between each major release.

I can only hope they hear us…
