joystick not working and doing random stuff when turned on

I had this when i was young and someone in my house spilled coffee on it and left it for forever, i cleaned it out and i think the reason it's doing this is because i unplugged the joystick and probably plugged it back in wrong but id like confirmation that its not a software thing since i modded it a long time ago before i take the whole thing apart
