Obsidian released 3 games last year, Avowed and Outerworlds 2 both sold poorly missing sales targets and Grounded 2 released in Early Access. With so many good games in 2025 no one was going to pay $70 for “okay/mediocore” games that feel AA.
They have to either make bigger AAA games or bring the price of their games down, both Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 don’t feel worth $70 wild that Outer Worlds 2 was gonna be Xbox’s first $80 game

I really enjoyed Avowed. It wasn’t as big or had as many complex mechanics as other Obsidian games, but the world building was rock solid, and my willingness to explore rivaled only my experience in Skyrim.
Just a fun little 60-or-so hours.

Did they fix the riposte achievement? It’s all I have left.
