yea that’s just from use, you can replace the shell that’s about it
Your fingers act as sandpaper against the soft plastic. The oils only accelerate the wear.
You can prevent this damage by putting a vinyl sticker/decal on both sides. You can get them on eBay and AliExpress, $10 or less.
Not actually oils/grease – but rather the oils from your hand have chemically mixed with plastic surface and slightly melted the plastic. Believe me, no amount of cleaning will fix it. Your options are replace or cover only.
