this happened a while ago and I now have a moment to ask about it, however I had an interesting thing happen with my 3DS and its interactions with DS games. I've only had one to test unfortunately, but I do want to try and fix it or figure out what is wrong before I take it to go get fixed. with that what could possibly be going wrong?

The interesting thing too is I try it with a 3ds title and it works fine, the gen 6 version of pokémon is had was fresh outta the box.
Do all your cameras work?
This “software closed” screen is known to show up on DS mode when one of the cameras on the device is defective.
It seems to be one of the cameras as I put in an edited post
Check to be sure you can operate all functions of the 3ds, 3d, camera, settings, ect.
