May I know if this is mold? I'm looking to get a OG 3DS as spare parts, just afraid its mold which could mean potential water damage (motherboard).
Seller said that he replaced the battery and used a new charger but there isn't any charge light at all.. thus selling it as spare part.
NOTE: I'm buying through an online platform, unable to see the console on hand.

Did moisture somehow get inside the panel? Unless that’s some odd lighter burn I’ve never seen something like that before.
That’s not mold it’s bubbling plastic. usually indicates some kind of heat damage or possibly a short on the inside.
This is probably one that JerryRigEverything torture tested.
This looks like heat damage. It’s visible on the edges too. As if someone tried to pry it open. It could also be glue residue. In any case it looks improperly handled/repaired.
