    1. I was hoping to play FireRed at midnight because it was pre-loaded on my Switch, but it didn’t launch. Seems it’ll be playable after the video presentation.

    2. Kinda wish they spent more time covering Wind & Waves considering it’s by far the biggest announcement from the stream. Looks really good though; the world seems _far_ more detailed than what Scarlet and Violet had. Here’s hoping it performs well enough.

Still no Mystery Dungeon game though. Surely they’ll announce one next time…

    3. That was way more underwhelming than I was expecting tbh. Though they usually are pretty tame and I should’ve known better. But I wanted a glimpse at what they’re gonna do with the tcg products, and when. And all they announced was that a 30th tcg set will exist. Like… no duh? That was kind of annoying. Worse than having no announcement. How can I only expect one thing and still be disappointed? lol

Music player would’ve been cooler if the sound came 100% from the cartridges and we had the option of using the Lego GameBoy. Idk. Just seems unnecessary to have two GameBoy replicas lying around.

Next games look pretty good. Tbh I can’t imagine “better” graphics than that for a Pokemon game while maintaining the art style. The starters looked like they were about to be announced as regional variants though. Oddly non-unique imo. Maybe it’s Rowlet’s cousin

Next Pokemon Game 2027? So Not even a Pokemon Game for Switch 2 this year? What is Nintendo thinking?

    5. I should have applied my Clown Makeup this year, but I didn’t. I was caught up in the “leaks” that we were supposedly getting a “Classic Collection.” I was hoping for my all-time favorite game, Pokemon Crystal, to be released on either NSO or for purchase, which I would have eagerly bought.

It seems like I’ll have to stick to emulating on my Analogue Pocket.

Winds and Waves looks promising, but considering the last decade of releases, I’m not holding my breath.

Glad we got Mega Garchomp Z to hold us over for the next year almost 2 years because we know Winds and Waves isn’t releasing till the end of 2027.

    6. Super disappointed in that reveal.

Firstly they made no effort to modernise FR/LG.

It looks so pixelated on a TV, the least they could have done was offer a letterbox view like the NSO games. It’s an obvious cash grab making them unique releases (30 bucks a piece in Australia).

No other remakes or classic releases… Seriously? 30 years of nostalgia and you couldn’t release the classic GB versions for switch at least??

Then releasing XD Gale of Darkness before Colosseum is bizarre. While they can be played independently, there are some story beats that make more sense or click when you’ve played game 1 before game 2.

They could have done a lot with some extra minimal effort but instead did the least.

Also the starters in Wind and Waves look very low effort. The gecko is the only one that feels a touch interesting. We’ve done grass birds and the fire pooch looks underdone.

As an OG pokefan who saved up xmas money to buy a gameboy pocket specifically for Pokemon Red as a 10 year old, I hoped for more.

For the 30th anniversary this was underwhelming. But i think underwhelming is pokemons to go these days.

      Sad.
