**Steam** has more exclusive games than switch and switch 2 combined

Poor OP blocked me for saying the truth lol

    2. Well yeah. Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, animal crossing and kinda Metroid are absolute powerhouse IPs for Nintendo.

    3. Unsurprising. And kind of the reason Switch 1 and 2 have been my only two consoles for the last 9 years. Basically everything else is on PC.

    4. I mean it’s Nintendo, something something pigs flying before we see Mario on a non-Nintendo platform

    5. Counting Welcome Tour is a little cheeky!

But yes, the Switch 2 will continue to have more exclusives, especially if Sony keeps porting most of their games to the PC. I saw some rumors/articles about Sony possibly reconsidering this approach. Makes sense to me – exclusives do sell systems.

    6. I hope that their detractors keep pretending otherwise, making themselves only look stupider, and less worthwhile for third parties to waste their time and money developing for, and more of those third parties put their primary efforts into SW2 as a result.

    7. It’s a sad state of gaming when Sony has nothing and they’re not the worst. Xbox has declined so harshly it’s unbelievable. Only excited for Fable but it’s been so long, hope it’s good.

Nintendo has kept on keeping on. They are the ones who know it’s about the games and their quality, they value their franchises and after growing up with Wii U and remembering how awful that time was, it is still good to see them succeed.

    8. And I’m very excited to play the next Pokémon game on my Switch 2, which will most likely be collecting dust until then lol

The exclusive list looks a little less impressive when you see the games they have lol _Chillin’ by the Fire_  and _Tokyo Scramble_ which, as of last week, is the lowest rated game of 2026 so far with a 19% critic score

    10. Yet someone on Reddit argued with me yesterday that there were only two, and when I replied with a list he blocked me.

    11. Neither set of exclusives in that article are really big accomplishments. I mean, welcome tour, tokyo scramble, quantum error, and code violet? But also, what kind of statement in this anyway? Games like death stranding 2, stellar blade, and rise of the ronin coming to pc I wouldn’t consider “not exclusives” since they aren’t on xbox or switch. Should those really count just because they came to pc later? Obviously, kirby, donkey kong, and mario games have never in their history been on a non nintendo console besides cd-i. So kind of….. who cares? What’s the point of this comparison if it hinges on technicalities?

    12. Having grown up during the PS2/Xbox/GameCube/Dreamcast days it feels weird that console exclusives basically… just stopped (outside of Nintendo).

It makes sense from a sales perspective but it still feels weird.

    13. I’m old and came from the console generations where you had to buy a new system to get the latest and greatest games. I think it’s better than the PC model of just reduced settings on older consoles. You can’t innovate on the benefits of fast storage etc when still targeting for old hardware. Look at PS5 exclusives.

    14. I remember when someone made this argument like in december last year and I thought no way so I dug through all the PS5 games and the SW2 games and yeah, there were more SW2 exclusive games at that point than on the PS5. I also traded in my PS5 and Series S for the Switch 2 because I could just wait a year at most for any PS5 game to come on PC but I couldn’t do that for SW2 at least legally. Never been more happier with the setup because I mostly use my SW2 and Legion Go S over my PC now.

    15. Hilarious. This article is framed this as a positive for Nintendo and a negative for Sony/Microsoft. In reality, it’s just the opposite. Sony and Microsoft are consumer friendly here by making their games available on multiple platforms; meanwhile, Nintendo hoards all their games on hardware that is still 1-2 generations behind.

      Slow news day apparently.

It may have more, no idea what they are because I’ve had nothing catch my eye since Donkey Kong.

In other news, water is wet.

Exclusive software is the entire MO of Nintendo, coupled with hybrid Consoles this past couple of generations.

Looks like desperate SEO clickbait from this site, after the news/insider leak of PlayStation pulling their singleplayer titles from PC in the future, using AI slop.

    18. Number of exclusives is kind of irrelevant though. How many *good* exclusives does each console have?

    19. This article is literally wrong. I don’t even care about console war crap, but it peeves me to see stuff like this posted so matter-of-factly and accepted.

The Switch 2 has 5 major exclusives so far, which is very impressive given it hasn’t even been a year yet, but the PS5 has been out for more than 5 years now and has 10 major exclusives so far. Xbox still has Halo Infinite, I guess.

    20. Not really a fair statement considering the Series X has literally zero exclusive games, considering all Microsoft titles are day and date on PC.

So really, Switch 2 has more exclusives than PS5.

    21. Not from what I’ve seen unless you count on old ports.

Gonna say Nintendo fanbase must be one of the most insecure fanbase out there since they must this rage bait article to justify themselves.

    22. To-Far-Away-Times on

And as always with Nintendo, those exclusives are going to punch way above the weight that a Sony or MS exclusive could. There are degrees to these things, and Sony and MS battle for a distant second.

    23. Few of the exclusives the Switch 2 currently has are actually system sellers, though. No one is going to spend 500 bucks on a console just to play Drag X Drive or Welcome Tour.

    24. Well duh, it’s Nintendo, you know the company that will sue you into oblivion if you mention their games anywhere on the internet
