I was playing on my 3DS (as one does) and this just HAPPENS???

I’m very upset as I only got it 3 months ago as a birthday gift (after wanting one for 8 years) and I want to cry, I have no money to get it fixed and my dad who thinks he can fix it says he can’t for a long time. So I’m not sure on what to do.

There are repair kits on amazon that provide all tools, replacement joystick etc…like for 10-20$

If possible get that kit and you dad might be able to fix it…just be careful with screws and all as they are very small and easy to get stuck

If you’re desperate, buy a cheap thing of super glue and very carefully reattach it.

You can replace that part, but that requires opening up the console. It’s one of the easier repairs, as it’s pretty surface level and doesn’t require too much ribbon cable disconnecting. I suggest looking up YouTube videos on this repair, and seeing if you’re up for the task! The part itself costs next to nothing, though the cheaper ones won’t have the exact same feel. (they’re more hard plastic)
It’s at times like this that I just wish I could help people repair their consoles, it’s a 5 minute job if you know what you’re doing, but you really don’t wanna mess it up either.
I’m working on one of these tomorrow, if you want me to take some pictures to explain it feel free to hmu! And in the small off-chance you’re from Belgium, I’ll gladly fix it for you for free :p
