I just traded this 3DS XL with my friend, and its not working, i already knew this and im going to get it fixed my someone, but can someone maybe guess what is those green spots on the top screen? He said he used it when he was little and that it has been stored in the box for years

    1. Is it on the screen or the screen lens, looks like damages to the plastic lens, if screen is fine just replace the plastic lens. But I see you say it’s broken does it not work at all?

      Bugs probably that have been squished between the screen and the lens, zooming in they do look a bit bug like.

      Because Nintendo are cheap and didn’t laminate the display (which was plenty common by that point) stuff can get it there annoyingly easily.

      Easiest fix is to take the lens off and pop a new one on. You can try cleaning it but the stock ones scratch easily and it’s hard to get them right. I recommend switching for a glass lens.

      Pretty easy fix with some patience and minimal disassembly required
