The other day I found out about Battery Mark v2 and decided to test my O3DS. It ended up only getting 1hr17min runtime. Opened up the back cover to check out the battery, and found it’s beginning to bulge. While I was browsing for a new battery, I stumbled upon an Amazon listing for a “3200mAh” CTR-003 battery. I figured there’s no way it has that capacity in the same form factor from a no-name brand when nobody else does it, but for only $10 and free next day shipping it’s worth a try. When I ran Battery Mark for the new battery, I ended up getting 3hr15min runtime.
Both tests were ran with wireless on, full brightness, and power saving mode off.
Conclusion? It was worth the $10 for me, but it’s most likely just 1300mAh as the runtime is in line with what Nintendo advertises the O3DS battery life should be.

I did the same on a similar battery from Amazon, except it degraded much faster. I only got 30 mins after a couple months. Let me know if it gets considerably worse over time.
