It's interesting to see the current "Game Mode pays for online" info. I'd have to imagine/hope they know that the online paywall has to go away by launch.

If it plays both pc and console games then it 100% needs to remove gamepass as a mandatory online play option. Even so, locking out someone from using a flash drive to switch the os is extremely difficult
I just can’t see them abandoning charging for multiplayer gaming. Hooking people on a monthly sub has been a huge money maker for them for 20 years. Yeah, there is Gamepass, and I know PC players dont deal with this, but I am not holding my breath for MS giving up that money. They will figure out a way do this.

MS wont help devs troubleshoot Windows mode problems lol
They best remove the charge for multiplayer at all next gen if they know what’s good for their rep.
There is simply no excuse to charge for multiplayer on an $800+ device.
I’ll stick with my pc. I sold my Series X last year
I’m going to be In college so I definitely won’t be getting it day one, but if the price goes down(HUGE if with modern microsoft) I might buy this down the line
