A long time ago I dropped my 3DS and it left a lot of dead pixels and discolored pixels. The black portion used to be smaller (just the top right about an cm) but now it grew bigger.
Is there any (affordable) fix for this, or am I out of luck?

You’ll have to replace the top screen unfortunately. It’s not economical, or easy 🙁
I just did a 3ds xl top screen it wasnt that bad tbh and thats worse than regular 3ds. Took me like 1.5hours 1st time but up to you keep it repair it yourself or pay someone like 50+$for the repair
