Word of mouth on this game is crazy, it will have a better 2nd week.

Is it really as good as people are saying?

This game is 9/11 for the people who said no one would buy game key cards

It must actually be good then huh? I might pick it up, was hesitant after it was announced

I usually don’t give into hype when buying games but ended up getting it yesterday. It actually is as good as people say. I can only compare it to feeling like a kid again when playing.

This game’s success makes me so happy. I bought it recently and it’s such a cozy, wholesome game

It’s such a good game but the time bound activities are a killer for someone who can play a lot one day but not so much for about a week after.

So far, I love this game. There’s so much charm in the personalities of the Pokemon. Something my wife pointed out was how genius being a Ditto is and how it’s transform ability fits perfectly with an in-game explanation for using other Pokemon’s moves as well as cosmetics.
The world is huge, I can’t believe how big it is. Each zone by itself is massive and there’s multiple. Each with their own little bit of flair and group of Pokemon.
I have one criticism and that’s pacing. A very minor and almost not worth mentioning criticism. The pacing is weird and feels almost disjointed. Progress doesn’t entirely feel linear.

It’s really good. I’m at around 35 hours right now and have a hard time putting it down still. As you open up additional zones, the pile of “things to do” increases more and more and I can think of a dozen projects I’d like to tackle – and I haven’t even finished the story portion yet!
I didn’t think I’d be much into the whole terraforming and building thing, but in Pokopia that comes very naturally. The game never really forces you to do much of that, but the way the maps are created make it hard to not dive into that gameplay element. The whole thing is really very rewarding and (so far) has never once felt tedious or boring.
The game just checks a lot of boxes for me: steady progression, tons of stuff to collect, creative freedom, genuinely “play at your own pace”, rare things to unlock and find, challenges, quests, social ties with the NPCs, and so on.
If I had to name cons, only really two things come to mind: 1) Some buildings only finish the next day and 2) chests are not connected and centrally accessible, so you need to eventually come up with an organization system. The first one could be bypassed that by changing the clock, but that would spoil the game for me. And there is no real storage limitation – you get bigger chests as you play and more inventory space. Bag space is much larger (and grows as you play) than in many similar games.
I’m really loving this – more than I expected!

It seems like Japan is moving to more of a 50/50 digital physical split
Considering Nintendo said a million copies were sold in Japan alone
CrossReset on
Physical. Digital brings it up beyond a million

It’s the Switch 2 exclusive with the best first-week sales in Japan?

That’s what happens when you make a crazy fun game from a huge franchise

Finally Cubone in the vanilla version and not as DLC

So the split between physical and digital is about 50/50, considering the reports that in Japan alone, they sold 1 million

I’m thinking they should let this team work on Animal Crossing too. Better yet, just buy them from Koei. 🥹

What is the multiplayer like on this game? can the wife and I sit down together for couch co-op?

When watching the trailer or just general gameplay I feel this game looks so bland, like a cheap Minecraft copy. Not in terms of gameplay but in terms of visuals. The worlds themselves also look a bit empty and artificial. It’s kept me from buying it so far.
