Hello, I got a new 3DS off eBay and it’s for my friends birthday. I got two from the same place and they worked fine one just was rather scratched.
So when hers came I expected maybe some scratches since they’re previously owned. However, scratches weren’t really the issue. While I was downloading games it stopped at one point and was saying error. Which happens but it errored a lot of them and told me to close the app. So I did and then it told me to restart or turn off so I did. And then when I opened it, it had the screen for luma and I enabled everything but once I passed that it said error can’t read sd so everything I downloaded was gone. I tried opening the file on my computer to see if it was the card or the console and the sd card wouldn’t open there either but I need to know if I need to reformat it or re mod it or what to do. I’m gonna buy a new sd but if anyone can tell me what’s happening and how to fix it that would be great. Thank you in advanced.

Try to check any data with Recuva. If nothing, your SD card is now paperweight.
Some eBay sellers include old worn-out or bootleg fake SD cards.
