      >inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on April 30, 2026.

      >Step into a cozy narrative-driven simulation game about connection, nostalgia, and the quiet beauty of daily life. Play as Makoto Hayakawa, a college student who unexpectedly finds herself behind the counter of a small-town convenience store inspired by early 1990s Japan.

      >Discover joy hidden in daily routines, explore the colorful neighborhood around the shop, and meet customers with stories of their own. Through thoughtful conversations and meaningful choices, you’ll shape Makoto’s relationships and uncover the charm found in ordinary moments.

the only “store manager” game i’ve seen yet that didn’t seem like a total scam piece of garbage.

    3. They need to make one of these but it’s romanticizing a shitty gas station convenience store in Tennessee or something

All of the “Japanese” text is AI generated gibberish. Don’t buy AI slop.

Edit: You can downvote me all you like, that’s not going to make the gibberish into legible Japanese. It’s AI generated, all of it.

    5. So…. the people who made this either made all the Japanese text intentionally look wrong. Or this is using a lot of AI generated textures. As all of the Japanese has mistakes or looks off.

    6. Faux Japanese wtf why? The concept is interesting, and could have been a good tool to learn but why can’t people actually put effort into a game anymore its sad. No body wants ai when it comes down to it, but apparently no one can code or make art anymore either.

Looks cozy, too bad they rely heavily on AI generation for a lot of their labels and such. No telling what else is AI generated. I understand it’s made by an indie dev but that’s no excuse imo. There are way too many budget friendly creators that devs could reach out to for help.

It’s gotten to the point where we can’t trust any game that began production after 2023 cuz there will be a risk they’re using AI bullshit.
