These served me well for the abuse over the years. My only real issue with them is that I realized I wasn’t hearing sounds my friends would hear in-game. In Path of Titans, my friends could either hear or know with direction a call came from. Same in Arma with gun fire.

I play a lot of Arc Raiders now, & sometimes don’t hear gun fire in the distance, but my biggest complaint is that I won’t even hear some raiders talking near me that my friends hear when they’re right beside me.

Any recommendations? Budget would like to stay under $200.

    Thank you.

    1. What the fuck do people do to their stuff?

These are the people who bitch about build quality of equipment.

I’ve had a pair of HyperX Cloud headphones for 4-5 years now and they’re still going strong. They’ve since come out with 2 newer iterations too. Depending on which one you get, it ranges from $40-100.

    3. You can probably get replacement earpads on Amazon, it won’t fix the head band damage or the microphone, but maybe you can limp along for a while longer with proper earpads. I had to replace my HyperX CloudX Stinger earpads recently and it was very easy to do.

    4. I have the same pair of Steel Series headphones that I’ve been using for the past six or seven years. Let essentially look like new, and I’ve used them essentially every night.

    5. I got £12 replacement ear cups and headband in nice grey and red combo and thing looks like new. Really easy to replace.

    6. I’ve had the Astro A20s for years now. The only problem I’ve run into is the volume scroller thing sometimes is slow to react. Can’t really speak for any other headsets because this is basically the only one I’ve had

    7. You can buy headphone replacements covers on Amazon it’s a simple replacement and a cheaper option. Unless you just want to have a new headset. Otherwise save the money and get new pads ✌️

    8. If you dont mind being wired to your controller I’d recommend the sennheiser hd560s and the hd boom mic, should come in around the aus200 mark. I’ve used that set up for a few years and what you hear compared to other headsets is night and day, only moved away from it as I got a good deal on the rog/hifiman kithara.
