Its already hacked. If you really dont want a hacked console, return it. Alternatively, you can just [follow this guide](https://3ds.hacks.guide/restoring-updating-cfw.html) then not do finalising setup, it’ll look the same as a stock console.
To get past the screen youre looking at (luma configuration menu), press start.
its already modded bro
and you dont need to be scared at all, man. had a modded 3ds for years, i never bricked, and i didn even speak english at the time (im brazillian)
just play your games and be happy.
Press start. You’re good.
It’s modded but that’s even better.
did you hold any buttons while turning it on? you can disable luma3ds default activation.
that’s the Luma3DS menu, which is related to it being modded! you can finish the modding process (BUT DO NOT USE A VIDEO TUTORIAL, GO [HERE](https://3ds.hacks.guide) INSTEAD) and just ignore the modded parts (like godmode9, Luma menu, Rosalina Menu, the homebrew apps it installs)
BUUUT there is a way to delete the CFW (custom firmware) IF you wish to, but it is, last I checked, not recommended, because you could cause serious issues with the console.
so, me personally, I recommend you just finish the modding process and store the homebrew apps in a far away folder, as another commenter said, it’ll look just like stock console!!
or just try to get a refund, give the seller a bad review for lying about the console not being hacked, and go find yourself a better, not hacked, console!!!
I wish you luck in whatever route you choose to take on this!
Technically it’s already hacked. It just needs some files to “recover” the modding. However, if you mod it, it just allows you to play all the games you want and cheats and stuff. Besides that, it remains the same and you don’t have to do anything else, you can just play your physical games.
If you don’t want to mod it, just press start and you can ignore it. It won’t affect the 3ds.
I however advise you to finalize the mod, following only https://3ds.hacks.guide/
Just click on “Key information”, then “Get Started”, then on “here” on the yellow banner about Luma3ds then click on the corresponding situation (in your case Luma3ds version of 8.0 or greater).
Follow every step and you’ll be fine. It’s noob-proof, you just need to follow the steps.
You can still use it. That is just the start up screen
It’s already modded, that’s just the luma configuration menu which you can mostly ignore for now.
It’s not going to brick, look at it as an enhancement to the 3DS. I strongly recommend that you read the guide here: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ so that you can get an understanding of what everything is and how to use it, it will help calm your fears. The only way a brick would occur is if the guide wasn’t followed word for word and a step was missed.
If you want an unmodded system, you should send this one back for a full refund and purchase a different one.
“It’s not modded.”
Narrator: “It was.”
Its become sentient. Now what?
If you paid more for it thinking it was unmodded, that’s a valid reason to complain to the seller
