I'm planning onto purchasing one of the 3DS models (or even a DSi). The listings for the original 2DS models are much cheaper than it's foldable relatives (3DS ones) and many of them include Mario Kart 7 as a pre-instaled game (I'm aiming for a hardware with pre-instaled/officially downloaded software. I'm alternatively thinking of the OG 3DS with (some) Ambasador Program titles), but I heard it could have trouble fitting into pockets. So I wanted to ask You all if it's as cumbersome as it appears to be?
I also have a pouch I use to carry my other handhelds (GBA SP and Super Pocket fit Into it pretty nicely, but one at the time), so I was wondering if it could, by any chance, fit a 2DS (maybe it's contained in horizontal position inside of the pouch)?

Fits mine, won’t fit some. Really depends on the size of your own pockets. Honestly if you can, I’d cut out a peice of cardboard that’s roughly the same dimensions to see if it will fit in your own pockets.
An og 2DS (the one that doesn’t fold) won’t fit in any pocket out there unless you are a giant or maybe wear skater pants. If you want a pockable 3ds you need to look at the non xl versions that are foldable.
And even then I wouldn’t advice to put it in your pocket, but in a dedicated carrying case.
Maybe if you’re wearing cargos or something but in typical pants no, because whereas a folded 3DS is similar in size to a phone the 2ds is basically a perfect square so unless whatever you’re wearing has pretty wide pockets it won’t

Not really. You need some unusually large pockets to fit it.
Doesn’t fit well, but that didn’t stop me from walking around with one in my pocket when I was in middle school.
It’s a solid square brick. The 3DS XL is just about the biggest device you can comfortably-ish fit in pockets unless you have massive pockets.

I don’t get why anyone would want to put a handheld in their pocket unless they want to get gunked with dirt up and get damaged.
If your pocket can fit tablet, 1.5l water bottle, big brick powerbank then yes

It might fit in a back pocket or deep pocket but it’s not really designed with that in mind.
When I had my 2ds I could only fit it in my hoodie pocket like I would do with my sketchbooks.
fits my vest snug, dont know about jeans all that much but if ya thinking on a 3ds ya can put in ya pocket would prob likely be a non XL 3ds (either the OG or New 3ds models)
Cargo pants, yes. Mens Sweatpants, finagling but yes. Jeans, don’t even bother.
