the unknown under splatoon raiders brings me immense pain and yet it’s true 😔

I guess it’s time I just admit, I don’t really care for Nintendo first party titles anymore.

honestly just waiting for fire emblem

I’m 100% buying Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.
Also I’m excited for Rhythmn Heaven Groove! and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. They could announce the release dates of these two randomly any day. I think FE is sooner than we might think. The trailer gave me “The game is actually completed” vibes like Engage was.

> The Duskbloods
> Publisher: FromSoftware
Probably shouldn’t be included in this graphic then.
This really shows how badly we need a major direct!

This is why people were confused at the lack of a Nintendo Direct in February (and seemingly March)

That’s a sad sad lineup at the moment. Hoping for some more banger announcements soon.

Really hoping Nintendo has a full Direct lined up soon because first-party releases are looking really dry. A new 3D Mario or a new Zelda, even a remake or remaster, would be really nice right about now. I’m enjoying my Switch 2, but honestly outside of Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, there hasn’t been too many exclusives that have interested me as I’m not really a big Pokemon fan and while I really enjoyed Metroid Prime 4, it’s also on Switch 1.

Give us Twilight Princess already

Honestly I did enjoy the upgrade to switch 2 but there is barely any switch 2 games. We need more

I can’t say this is too surprising given Nintendo seems to be busy contending with a lot of things at once: the new system launch and on-boarding (hence the recent boost update which made a lot of people happy but should have been the case at launch), the Game Key Card fiasco, the Odyssey team having just wrapped on Bonanza, etc.
I think projects like the FireRed/LeafGreen forward ports are a great idea for stopgaps between releases: something bite-sized with new features (in this case, Home connectivity). I honestly hope we see more of this or just more smaller-form projects that can hold us over between bigger releases. Even something like the Boost Mode feature now gives us something to fill up time by going back and playing games we may have skipped or dropped. It’s personally made me want to pick up some Switch 1 games to run on Sw2.

Whenever that next Direct comes, they’d best bring the thunder.

I’m very excited for the new Yoshi game in May. Looks like a cross between Yoshi’s Island and Mario Wonder.

The Super Mario Galaxy movie comes out in April, perhaps that will jumpstart some more Nintendo game news. Waiting for the hype wave, then some game announcements to keep the momentum going.
A mainline Mario game has yet to be announced for the Switch 2. Mario Kart World is due for some kind of content update. Splatoon Raiders hasn’t had any updates as far as I know. Pikmin had a little cameo in one of the Mario movie trailers. Smash Bros hasn’t had a Switch 2 upgrade announced either. I’m sure there’s more Nintendo is doing behind the scenes, just waiting on the right time to announce them.

Duskbloods already lost 3 months to 2026 and we have had NOTHING tangible to go by.
