    1. Am I the only one that feels like these things should be announced in advance? I see no reason why they wouldn’t let people know 2 or 3 months in advance so that they can purchase games that’ll be delisted in the near future. Seems like a very anti consumer thing to do, since the only way people will probably be able to get games like this one is on the second hand market. They lose nothing by giving people a last chance to buy.

    2. I believe Rio also got delisted from 3DS and Wii U eshops for when the license expired.

Go out and buy a physical copy right now if you want this game because prices are sure to go up.

    3. Respawn-Delay on

It’s likely that SEGA (*they publish the game, not Nintendo*) doesn’t want to renew the license because any potential future sales now can’t cover the cost of extending the deal.

The IOC has said previously that they wanted to move away from the partnership, so SEGA would be paying to keep this game available on the back-end for little return as other publishers began releasing newer Olympics games.

    4. Well I guess this is the final nail in the coffin for the series if they are taking it down. Crazy of all games one with Mario and Sonic gets taken down. Licensing is a pain.
