    1. No surprise. All of the schools around us are on spring break and a friend’s kid works at a local theater and said every show they had from 11 to 7 (playing every half hour) was packed.

    2. How does this compare to the first movie?

Edit: I meant box office. Not the film itself.

Deserved. The movie was really good and improved upon the issues I had with the first.

If you want more Luigi and less licensed music like most of us did, they heard you.

    4. Saw it tonight. Loved the first one. This was a major step down. Felt like typical Illumination fare with nonsense humor and terrible pacing

This is clearly because they did a presser with Get Played: The Premier Video Game Podcast. Edge.

    6. I just watched it today, the cinema was totally packed, like literally tons and tons of people …. Movie was amazing, Fox McCloud is cool af, the only thing amiss at least for me, no lyric song … I was expecting someone to sang … I did love all those Mario 2 characters !

    7. Just saw it tonight, IMHO it was better than the first in every single way. All I expected was just a fun movie with some of my favorite characters and I got just that. Also the music score is amazing, not surprising though being that the game music was incredible already.

    8. Just come back from the theater. Watched it with my 14y son who is a Mario aficionado.
The movie is OK, but I felt I was watching a 2 hours long tiktok. I missed a timeline, something more linear. There are so many jumps and stories that runs in parallel.
But at the end it was fun.
And wait for the post-credit scene(s)
