I’m gonna miss his videos. One of my favorites was the one about the Mario ‘93 movie and definitely, the Tetris one.

Never watched his stuff to be honest…

His Tetris and Oregon Trail videos are of an absurdly high quality. I highly recommend these two videos especially if you’re interested in video game history.

This is a shame. I always looked forward to his videos, but if his heart wasn’t in it anymore then it is the right decision. I’ll definitely go back and rewatch some of his older content at some point.

Aaaaww maaan! I’ve watched a good number of his videos over the years and they were always interesting. I’ll miss that.

His output had largely evaporated, so I’m not surprised. Even so, his content only rose in quality, so he’s leaving a strong YouTube legacy.
Best of luck on his future endeavors.

I wish more YouTubers used his format

I thought he already announced that he was ending doing videos in his last post before today’s video. At least he went out with an real good one. Really enjoyed his stuff.

It’s Balrog’s Gameroom all over again. But I understand, it just sucks when you know eventually people will stop making content

He was barely active anyway, but he left a great, well-researched body of work.

The Gaming Historian created some really well done videos on the level of professional documentaries. I wish him the best!

This sucks, man. I absolutely loved his videos.

Oh wow. This creator really did some awesome work for the gaming community. Wishing him well on what comes next.

Why make videos which require lots of work if you can do an podcast and just sit and talk. Why didn’t he hire a team to, edit, film, research and produce it with him. So he would only need to talk about it? Guess that happens when you want to keep all the cash and then shut down a channel of 1 million followers due to burn out…. Only one left now is Strafefox….hoghly produced with an amazing team behind him….

Look up Hamilton vs Speight as big or even bigger than Nintendo vs Universal studios
