    1. is there an industry-wide removal of QA, and just letting players do QA for free?

Cool, I insincerely apologise for refusing to look at it for the next half a year at least!

Pretty funny to not even mention some of the most major glaring complaints like items missing, or mobile-tier graphics, or an extremely limited selection of available pokemon, and then say they’ll fix some incorrect pokemon genders.

The bugs are incredibly minor. If you choose to believe the current social media trend of hating new releases then just leave, find something else. It’s a good game, genuinely.

So insanely disappointed by the performance at launch. Otherwise it’s decently fun. Kinda wish it didn’t lean into the mobile game aesthetic. Did they sincerely not develop different UI for each console version?

    6. This isn’t some kind of “an error was made” thing to apologize for. This is a fundamentally bad job, and it’s done montly with intent.

This game launched with the lowest Pokemon count since Gen 1. Things they showed in the trailer are not part of release, which suggests to me that they are eithger intentionally holding back things that are ready or they removed them from a planned release because they are still trying to make things work that were part of the franchise for a long time.

Most of the issues are direct decisions by the developers. I’m still trying to understand how making the game “free” justifies having a membership that costs almost as much as a game to rent you storage on-par with (if not less than) a full-price game, and you only get it for one year. This game, if you’re a serious competitor, is going to be more expensive than the $60-70 game purchases ever did, or you’re going to be left constantly juggling Pokemon between the main games, Home, and Champions because they deliberately made it restrictive.

I’m so let down by how they felt the best path forward for competitive Pokemone was to make a “free to start” game where they took a functioning formula, created a problem, then heavily monetized the solution.

I feel like I’m missing something, is it just the Switch 2 version that is botched? Beyond the 30fps limitation I haven’t seen any bugs on Switch 1

I was hype for this game. When I saw the small roster and heard that mega evolve priority was random order, I decided this game was not for me in its current state. Fuck the Pokemon company. I’m not gonna spin my wheels as a beta tester when they treat us like this.

    9. My only issue is the framerate and general jankyness. Less pokemon helps me learn so its fine

This is not the way to do It.
People like me allready abandoned the franchise as a whole because of all the bullshit.
I literally reseled my sword copy after like 2 months couse Jesús that really sucked.

I like competitive Pokemon , LOVE me some Wolfie ( dude is amazing, really like the guy)and i was really willing to try this out.
Then saw some people playing It day 1 and It really soured me the fuck off again.

I am not playing this shit, ever.
I just dont understand where the fuck is the quality control on the biggest franchise in the world.

    11. Not a bug, but Body Slam’s animation literally during the tutorial stuck out as a very silly animation, considering this is meant to be a dedicated battle simulator.

    12. Maybe they should’ve ran a beta test before release, would’ve cleared some of the issues.

    13. What else can we expect from The Pokémon Company but consistent releases of slop quality

    14. RockDoveEnthusiast on

Wait… that’s the list of bugs? That’s pretty normal. short, even. and none of those are really game breaking. obviously mega evolution order is the highest impact. but, still… everyone is acting like this is the cyberpunk release or something.
