After I killed the boss (no spoilers) I was collecting the loot when I got that red ball and the cutscene started. How do I know I got everything? I think I did, but I'm not sure.

If you use your scan ability, it’ll highlight what’s nearby and mark it specifically what it is like gold or nano elements. You can also just put on auto pick up so it’ll pick everything up, just wait like 4 or 5 maybe less seconds to be sure everything is picked up.
Anything the boss dropped in addition to the red orb can be found everywhere. It’s just normal upgrade mats that can be found in chests, etc. so it’s safe 👍
