Use the stylus, a toothpick or a stiff cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. If you’re extremely worried about plastic preservation use the cotton swab and a lot of force

Nothing some 91% isopropyl and cotton swabs can’t handle. Use a toothbrush for the small nooks

If you’re scared of damage like myself, you can use a toothpick/soft toothbrush to get stuff out of indents in buttons like L and R. For the rest of the console I used warm water and qtips, only very small amounts of water so I didn’t drench the system but I didn’t want to use alcohol as it can leave visible spots on some plastics. For really stubborn areas not on screens, just use the toothbrush after dipping it in water and holding it against paper towel to get out excess water, just rub it softly in circles till it dislodges any gunk built up. Did this method with my preowned dsi xl and childhood ds and they came up really nice but there was a mountain of dirty qtips
