I've been looking for a new 3ds for ages this is the best deal I've seen in a minute but the shell looks so weird, top screen definitely looks replaced with that white border. Idk if it's the lighting or maybe it's just well loved? Any one have any thoughts or experience with 3rd party shells? Maybe it's just a good deal. In Australia btw so that's 275 aud

The shell is either very worn and used or a bad quality reshell. I would steer clear of this one.
those marks are caused by years of wear and tear. I wouldnt buy it for more then $100 usd.
I’m in AUS too and that’s a terrible sell. Try EBay, grab a Japanese one for cheap (make sure you check listing for yellowing), mod it and be done with all the bull prices in AUS.

My local GS is selling on for the same price in much better condition. Please do *not* settle on this one. There are other many better options out there. If this is the range you can afford, please look on ebay. Don’t pay this much for something that is so worn out cosmetic-wise
