PS2, PS1, PS5, PS4, PS3, PSVita, PSP when thinking about them in their own time.
But really I’m enjoy the present and looking ahead. So even though I have my issues with high prices and subscription tiers I still have to say PS5 is what I’m enjoying the most. The hardware, that controller, more than enough games I can play. Thing’s aren’t bad at all.

PS2 last is wild, the Emotion Engine literally made the whole gen.
But … every opinion is valid so here’s mine:
PS2, PS5, PS1, PS4, PS3
I feel bad because the PS3 had great architecture, but it was too hard to take full advantage of it in terms of development. The PS4 gladly changed the direction back to simple development.
The PS3 era was also the only time Xbox got close to PlayStation with the 360, so this was not only Xbox strongest era, but also PlayStation’s weakest era.

Not ranking the ps2 higher is sacrilege.
My ranks: ps3-ps2-ps5-ps1-ps4.
Ps4 was underpowered imo, and i never liked the games much, often finding myself returning more to the ps3.
The ps3 was also more than just gaming, it was the first playstation to do streaming services and movies, overall making things cheaper and easier in my household, as instead of having two separate boxes, one for cable and streaming services and one for gaming, we could just have one ps3 for half the cost.
Truly revolutionary, we had three ps3s in my house. One further living room, one for dad, and one for me in my room. Such classic games played often were: rdr1., Gran Turismo 5, and assassins creed. (several different versions of assassins creed).
Ps2 was my baby back in the day too, with it being my first system and gran Turismo 4 being my first game. Not quite as revolutionary as the 3 tho.
Ps5 is underrated, its a phephenomenon, something truly special. HOWEVER. the simple fact that it doesn’t have Bluetooth is so disappointing that i should kicked it down behind the ps1, but the damn thing is so good that I can’t bear to do it. Ps plus premium games catalog is the gift that keeps on giving, too.
For the record tho, the ranking between the ps3, ps2 and ps5 is so close, that it might as well be even.
Never played ps1. I did my research tho and, while revolutionary, it fell short of the mark just a bit and became outdated quickly. By ’97, it was outclassed by PC gaming, and other consoles like the n64, and the Gameboy lineup.
In conclusion, ps6 better have Bluetooth or imma crash out ✌️🙏.

PS5 is just PS4 with some extra games, but it doesn’t have as good as a lineup the others have. But I still love it.

For me if we ignore games complexity or fidelity (for obvious reasons, as it’s automatically skew everything towards modernity), I’d say favorites
PS2 > PS4 = PS5 (tie) > PS3 > PS1
PS1 is last only because I never had one so my knowledge is extremely limited on it.

For me it’s the order they were released in. The PS1 is what I grew up with and remains my favorite, ps2 had a massive catalog, ps3 had fantastic exclusives and PS4 was great as well with some incredible exclusives. The PS5 is the most underwhelming console in the PS lineup. It’s literally just a reskinned PS4, and 90% of what I play on it is previous gen games.

PS1 because it was my first console the year 97 with the game Hercules on Christmas.
Then I got FF7 together with Crash Team Racing 99.
It had some banger games and those demos!

2,3,1,5,4 for me. PS4 felt like a smallish step up from the PS3 for me and I just wasn’t blown away by its full life cycle. PS5 is similar but I value that games are 60fps more often now. 2 and 3 were just huge steps in technology from its respective predecessors
