I wholeheartedly agree, it feels that Xbox has spent the post-360 era afraid to actually engage in competition – from not doing timed excluisivity deals since tomb raider to the whole exclusivity fiasco.

Another one these. Xbox is in this position because Xbox lost. They definitely tried competing after the 360 but they couldn’t. Xbox has spent 20 years struggling to struggled to get any 10/10 exclusives. For years Microsoft struggled to release anything at all. During that same time, Sony was releasing hit after hit. Scalebound was the final nail in the coffin. The only thing that’s kept them going was basically dropping the entire traditional console business model.
