    1. Bethesda has never been a company that lets lack of technical knowledge get in the way of product releases.

    2. yup, its Avellone.

Edit: I mean this in the nicest way possible but i would take anything Avellone says about Bethesda or Obisidian with a boulder of salt, he has been sipping that “Bethesda bad” kool-aid real bad in recent memory, especially about anything Fallout related.

In any case it would not even be Bethesda making the remaster, as Oblivion remaster was made by a different studio, and FO3 remaster rumors are indicating that another studio would be making it.

    3. from bethesda import remaster

      fnv_remaster = remaster(fnv)

      publish(fnv_remaster)

      profit???

    4. Have the fans do it, they’re the ones who end up “completing” the games for Bethesda anyway.

If Bethesda can’t even handle a remaster, just let Obsidian do it themselves since they clearly still have the passion for it.

    6. “Bethesda doesn’t have ‘the engineering know-how’ ”

Cpuld have been the headline and still be true.

    7. I think there are too many people making filthy money at the top and not enough workers who actually make the games at the bottom.

If they can’t do it, they could hire a game company that could do it for them.

    8. Interesting that they weren’t simply required to hand over the source code; I’d love to read the contract under which this thing was produced.

    9. Easy to rag on Bethesda, but based on the state New Vegas launched in and how much they had to quickly patch it up, I bet it’s a complete mess on the back end.

    10. Guys… Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Starfield…

Each next game has progressively worse dialogues, gameplay systems and performance.

Do you really have any hope for decent game in the future?

    11. They barely have the engineering know-how to release new functioning games 😭

I’m sorry but anyone holding out hope that ES6 isn’t a total train wreck is a much more optimistic person than I am.

ES6 is going to be terrible.

    12. I’ve said it once I’ll say it again. The creation engine has serious limitations and is holding Bethesda back

    13. wasn’t it confirmed recently that Obsidian did not hand over the source code to Beth for a potential remaster? I mean we’ll never know now, Chris!

This is a dumb comment from Avellone that’s just going to cause a blind Bethesda bad circlejerk even though the logic doesn’t make sense.

He’s claiming Obsidian never gave Bethesda the source code, and presenting that like its some unsolvable problem. As if Obsidian and Bethesda aren’t now owned by the same company and MS will just get the source code if that’s what’s needed for a remaster.

Yes they do, they just don’t think the engineering cost is worth it, which is fair.

Patiently waiting for Fallout 5. I’ll be in my 50s when it releases. 🙁
