Microsoft reduced the price for GamePass Ultimate by $7 (USD). The tradeoff is losing new COD games at launch. IMHO I love this. If that was seriously the price new COD launches were costing us, especially with the quality of new COD games today… I’m not trying to start a war but lots of people will just purchase COD yearly anyway, me personally I am very happy that I won’t have to sell my Kidney this year to afford Game Pass! 🙂

They obviously put the price up too quickly and lots of people cancelled, so now they are begging people to come back like an abusive partner, they also figured cod is not worth it after looking at the sales figures on Playstation.

    2. I’d like a refund for the difference of the remaining 8 months that had already been paid for at the previous price. Happy to have that refund in additional months subscription.

    3. I mean, for £17/month in the UK is pretty much £1 more than what we had before the price increase, but considering how many great games have come on GPU in the past couple months it not a bad increase from the previous price.

Somehow COD just messes up things in ways we can’t predict. I’m glad it’s no longer Day One

    4. My way of view this situation.

Xbox created the precedent of choosing which first party game goes to ultimate day one now, when said tier was all about playing first party games day one.

Let’s hope only cod goes through this cut

    5. For me it gets more expensive by few euros because I will have to buy cod separately, the yearly difference being 72€ and a cod costs 80€…

      So badly?

My thoughts are that i wish i could trade some benefits for others like i have wished ever since the ABK deal went throught that the WoW sub would be included with Gamepass but what did we get ? Fortnite Crew… I wish we could swap that out for a WoW sub instead.

Monthly price for both Premium and Ultimate is still too high for me as console only player.

    8. I will in fact still be selling my Kidney… I mean $22.99 a month?!

My kids won’t believe me when I tell them I used to go into a GameStop to purchase games, and that we got the entire game up front, not through 3 different tiers of Battlepasses so Ronald McDonald could Moonwalk Emote on my dead body.

Unusual to see a price drop of any kind. But I still won’t go back out of principle. I rarely miss it since I cancelled. I mostly used it to test and see if I liked a game. Then wait for a sale.

This is a good thing. You can take COD off gamepass if it makes it cheaper. Also they should take fortnite crew off and make it cheaper still. They do that and they’ll be cookin.

    11. Don’t care, it’s still too high. Xbox said “fuck you” when they increased the price. Slightly lowering to still higher than before, lick my asshole

    12. Good move imho. They were influenced by cod bad sales tho, but last year they had a real contender (battlefield) who won’t be there this year, so they would have seen sales improved even without this change.
