Hello,
I have recently purchased 3DS and game cards from Japan. After I insert the game card (Pokemon Y in this case), an error comes up translated to "SD card recognition could not be performed. Please end the game and start over."
If I am not mistaken, the game cards don't require SD cards to start? The SD card was not inserted when trying to boot.
The same error persists with other Pokemon game cards I have bought.
Any help would be appreciated!

Doesnt the 3DS require the SD card regardless when you bought one new it always came with one so i dont think you can play games without one
Stuff like updates and dlc are saved on it
If I recall right Pokemon XY requires a patch update which you usually get by tapping Y on the main 3DS menu when you have the game selected?
