I can’t lie, $99 for a controller is steep. I’ll still buy but that doesn’t seem like a sound price point.

100$ is a lot for a controller. Makes me think the console will be balls expensive like 1000$

Want one for the Home theatre/living room gaming PC, if I like it I’ll buy 3 more. I want 4 player co-op sessions and reignite the old days with split/shared screen gaming.

    4. Can’t say I’m surprised, but this price definitely changes things from “insta-buy” to “thinking about it” for me. I’m already really happy with my 8BitDo Ultimate controller and I don’t dock my Steam Deck often

My useless built-for-casual-gamers XBox “elite” controller cost me £149, so this seems a fair price to me.

It’s cheap compared to the PS Edge but if you compare it to a lot of 8bitdo offerings, it’s missing features and is more expensive. Obviously the trackpads are a big plus but it’s still pretty expensive.

    7. good for peeps who buy the elite/pro ones. but just simple folks likw me who get controller on sales for like 35gbp this is like 3x price i pay for a controller.

    8. If it’s crazy quality that haves Anti-Drifting and a controller that can last for 5+ years then it’s definitely 100% worth than the Pos cheap controllers from Nintendo, Xbox, and PS that are literally $80+, I’ll buy it for sure.

    9. That thing looks bulky as hell.
Obviously I’d have to hold one to know but not having that bottom grip area more open doesn’t look comfortable.
Good to see the twin-stick choice though. The original one with giant track pad felt so awful to use.

    10. It uses anti drifting sticks, which the rest of the industry conviniently avoids.

I had the og steam controller so I know this will be a durable controller, still hope 80 buck tho. It also had the track pads and they are amazing for proper tv/pc experience, so I’ll get one.

Something with that quality and hall effect sticks? Yea, I could part with $99 easily.

    12. “…it’s only $25 more expensive than a ps5 controller”

…which is already too expensive imo

Guess I’m the only one here who thinks this is a good price.

This is a high-end controller and $100 is more than fair for what you get.

    14. Welp, I called $100. There’s a lot going on in it. For $100, I’m going to need to hold it. I’m very content with an Xbox Series X controller. $100 keeps it from being a blind buy.

    15. Only reason I might still consider that price worth it is because it SHOULD be pretty much guaranteed to be supported for life on 90% of games because of Steam. Having a firmware native to the platform SHOULD mean that it never gets abandoned and the community will ensure it always has support on anything sold on Steam.

    16. It’s hilarious that yall are conditioned to think 100$ on a controller is normal. Plebs I stg
