I’m so hooked on playing remotely from my PC that I can’t sit at the computer to play anymore. Now I just use Sunshine on my iPad to play remotely, with no lag. Do you guys play that way too? Have you tried Sunshine, which has less lag than Steam Link? I’d like to hear your thoughts on

game changer
Is my favorite setup. I stream both my PS5 and my PC to my Steam Deck and it works perfectly.
Which controller is this?
I used Sunshine for the longest time, but moved back to Steam Play recently since I’m seeing less difference between the two performance wise and the convenient streaming integration is good.
I didn’t buy a 32″ OLED monitor to game on small screens.
I use sunshine and moonlight for the steam deck, a number of games streamed better with it back when i was trying it all out (thinking hitman3, was it a dx12 issue? didn’t figure it out). The only thing really getting me onto the pc is when i really want the higher framerates + vrr + ultra widescreen now.
Yeah I do surprise myself how often I choose to play on my steam deck vs my ultra wide monitor. Visually gaming is better on the ultrawide but there is something about being able to be on my couch and hold the steam deck right up to my face LOL
I’ve been wanting to do this for ages, but Steam Link is still not a good experience for people with niche monitors or those on Linux.
If you have an ultrawide monitor, it streams in that aspect ratio. So I went to the trouble of buying a HDMI dummy dongle which is set to 16:10 aspect, but then Steam will only initiate streaming correctly maybe 1:3 times.
Really hope they iron these issues out before the Steam Frame!
I play on Bazzite over LAN with an RX6800 but get noticeable input lag on my iPhone. I set moonlight to 1080p in gaming mode and use my Lightning Razer Kishi, so there is no Bluetooth lag, just system to system lag. I use my 5gHz network on iPhone, 5 devices connected over WiFi. It’s a pretty decent router, too so idk why the heck I get that lag.
Free roaming in an open world is kind of okay with that but anything involving shooting, parrying or dodging is not going well.
I’ve tried many online guides with no success
It’s great, especially if your PC is too far from your TV. I use Steam Link or Sunshine/Moonlight on my 55″ OLED TV and it works perfectly.
